by Brian Fereday / illustrations by Fiona Clucas

Poems Inspired by the Landscape and People of South Westmorland

The poems stem from a lifetime of observing and working on the land. Sometimes past, sometimes present and mixed styles. They come from a love of the place and a need from the author to touch hearts and break down barriers between man and nature.

A man with a dog.
Senses warmth on his face,
Inhales the sea travelled air,
Returns the contented grin from his companion.
